The Redemptorists
"officially named the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Latin: Congregatio Sanctissimi Redemptoris), abbreviated CSsR,[1] is a Catholic clerical religious congregation of pontifical right for men (priests and brothers). It was founded by Alphonsus Liguori at Scala, Italy, for the purpose of labouring among the neglected country people around Naples. It is dedicated to missionary work and they minister in more than 100 countries. Members of the congregation are Catholic priests and consecrated religious brothers."
Redemptorists refer to the Priests and Brothers who are members of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists, C.Ss.R.), located in Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia, or Oceania.
Therefore, the Redemptorists, whether they are young or old, modern or traditional, cisalpine or transalpine European, African, American, Asian or Oceanian, are to be found only within the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer, C.Ss.R.
The Holy See has never changed this.
"Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away."
"Let us not be made desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another."
Epistle of St Paul to the Galatians 5:26
"When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves."
